What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems for warehouse robotics and software applications
- Lead the development of distributed systems using Node.js, AWS, and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, robotics, and DevOps engineers, to ensure seamless integration and deployment
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to industry standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging expertise in Node.js, AWS, and distributed systems
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers
- Contribute to the development of technical roadmaps, architectures, and strategies for backend systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our backend systems
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a focus on distributed systems, Node.js, and AWS
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, including frameworks such as Express.js and Koa.js
- Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway
- Experience with distributed systems, including microservices architecture, service discovery, and load balancing
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with robotics, warehouse management systems, or related industries
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
- Certifications in AWS, Node.js, or related technologies
