What You'll Do
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of multiple MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of senior and junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards to ensure consistency across all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to identify and prioritize project requirements, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing, to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, to automate the build, test, and deployment process, and reduce time-to-market.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the MERN stack ecosystem, and make recommendations for adoption and implementation to improve the overall technology stack.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and develop creative solutions to resolve them, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget, forecasting resource needs, and ensuring effective resource allocation to meet project demands and business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js) stack
- Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering complex software projects on time
- Strong technical expertise in MERN stack, with the ability to design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient software systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience in managing high-performing engineering teams, preferably in a MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack environment
- Strong technical expertise in software development, with a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex software projects on time, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and executive leadership
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), containerization, and monitoring and logging
